Most have casual, outdoor spaces where a well-behaved dog fits right in. Some of the wineries welcome dogs everywhere outside, while others limit them to the lawn only. Dog Friendly Wineries in Traverse City Proper
Left Foot Charley is downtown in the Village at Grand Traverse Commons. This is a great spot because you can take your dog on a walk in the many trails and then grab a glass of wine or cider on the patio! The outdoor patio is dog friendly, with good shade and an urban-ish vibe compared to the peninsula wineries. It’s a great spot for dog friendly wine tasting in Traverse City, especially if you want to skip the peninsula drive. 📍Google Maps
Old Mission Peninsula Dog Friendly Wineries
Mari Vineyards is very dog friendly with a large lawn. They welcome dogs outside, and the property has lots of open space and good views. Shade is limited to under the picnic tables, so keep that in mind on really hot days. It’s a popular spot, so it can get very crowded in summer. 📍Google Maps
Peninsula Cellars is a cute winery in an old schoolhouse. Dogs are welcome outside in the lawn seating area, but not in the tasting room or on the patio. The lawn has pretty good shade coverage with the large trees. 📍Google Maps
Bowers Harbor Vineyards is one of the most dog friendly wineries in the area. Dogs are welcome on the patios and lawn areas and there is plenty of shade. 📍Google Maps
Hawthorne Vineyards is a bit quieter compared to some of the bigger names, and they consistently have some of my favorite wine in the area. Dogs are welcome outside. 📍Google Maps
Chateau Grand Traverse is one of the more established wineries in the area. They allow dogs outside on the patio and grassy spaces. 📍Google Maps
